April 23rd 2012: French Vanilla Cream Pie

French Vanilla Cream Pie

This simple pie is only a few steps and totals about 5 minutes. My daughter loves to help me make this, it’s the perfect ‘cooking’ activity for little helping hands. She gets to pour the mix, stir the bowl, and fill the pie crust- loves it!

    ^ You will need:
    A graham cracker crust
1 pack of French vanilla pudding -cook to serve
    Milk
    Whip cream for the top
Follow the ‘cook and serve’ directions on your pudding pack.
Then pour/fill your graham cracker crust.
    Place in refrigerator to set.
That’s it, then pipe or spread on your whipped cream.
Because it takes a few hours to set, I like to make mine the evening before. It will be ready in the morning, then I pipe on my whip cream and voila!
I have also made the dark chocolate fudge with whipped cream and sprinkled Oreo crumbles on top. And a banana cream pie for Thanksgiving, everyone loved them!
You can use whatever flavor pudding you like. I will be trying: lemon, orange, and butterscotch soon!

I froze mine completely like an ice-cream pudding pie sort of dessert, also very tasty!
