Party Rock Mix

Party Rock Mix

A fun and simple sweet treat, the kids can even help!

What you will need
Cookie Sheet
Wax Paper
Pretzel Squares
Hugs
Rolos
M&M’s

  • Pre heat your oven to 200°F.
  • Place your Pretzels on the Wax Papered Cookie Sheet; and put your Hugs on.
  • Bake for 3 minutes or until they are soft enough to ‘smoosh’ down to the touch. Remove them and ‘smoosh’ with the M&M and Let Cool.
  • Repeat above directions with you Rolos, but they will take a little longer to bake, about 5-7 minutes. Then ‘smoosh’ the top Pretzel on and Cool.
  • When your treats have cooled enough to pick them up, I stack mine on a cooling rack in the refrigerator and then into my Tupperware until I’m ready to set them out for my party guests.
  • My house is always a little warm so for me, I feel more comfortable storing them in my fridge, but that may not be the case at your home so, whatever you feel more comfortable with and Enjoy!

Poll: Tampons or Diapers

tampons or diapers

Both of these products are very important, but which is the absolute WORST to grab for only to realize that was the last one?

Super Playpen

Toddler Corral - Northstate Super Playgate

We purchased the Northstate Super Playgate a few years ago with our daughter for outside playtime and inside play in place of a pop up playpen, so glad we kept it…

So what do you do when your almost 2y/o gets his head stuck in the banister?  Luckily we were able to wriggle him out.
And then a few days later he gets his leg stuck in the rails of his crib? Not so lucky this time- we had to cut and remove one of the rails to free him, leaving us with – what do we do now?  He’s too young for a ‘big boy’ bed and to have free run in his room; but strong enough to free himself and can climb out of his pop up portable playpen.

The answer is basically a ‘Toddler Corral’!  He still has his crib mattress and room to play (as you can see trucks, balls, and blankets) but not the entire room- perfect.  The ‘Toddler Corral’ is strategically placed so he cannot grab and pull the curtains down; then in the living room keeps him from sticking his head through the banister.  It folds up easily and is simple to set up, an awesome Play Area for both indoor and outdoor use!  A big Rave :)

Goodie Bags

Goodie Bags

We celebrated my daughter’s 6th birthday last month and planning the ‘Goodie Bags’ was a challenge- so many kids so many different food allergies. My daughter has a tree nut allergy, 2 of the girls in her class are allergic to strawberries and another is allergic to chocolate.

So I went to Dollar Tree to look for some non-food items for the goodie bags without spending a small fortune on them because the party itself, was a small fortune ;) And this is what we came up with:

  • A Glow Stick

  • Sidewalk Chalk

  • Bubbles

  • A Balloon

The kids loved them and the biggest hit was the balloon because they could blow it up themselves, let it go and chase it around the room.  I was happy because we were able accommodate all the kids, nobody was left out because they couldn’t eat something in the bag and no worries of a food cross-contamination.  We made 25 baggies for under $10, awesome!!!
